Pasta Alfredo
This is the Pasta Alfredo recipe.

Ingredients
- Pasta
- Bow ties or Penne or Rotini
- Meat or Fish
- Salmon or white fish strips or Boneless chicken or turkey strips or Pork strips
- Vegetables
- Baby peas and diced sweet red pepper or Thinly sliced carrots and broccoli flowerets or Diced eggplant drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes and sliced black olives
- Canadian Cheese
- Shredded Mozzarella or Havarti or Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack or Shredded Swiss

Preparation
Cook 2-1/2 cups (625 mL) Pasta according to package instructions; drain. In a large frying pan, cook 3/4 lb (350 g) Meat* or Fish* in a little melted butter. Remove from pan.
Add 2 cups (500 mL) Vegetables, 10 sliced mushrooms, 1/2 chopped onion and 1 clove minced garlic to pan. Cook and stir 5 minutes. Add 1 can cream of mushroom, chicken or broccoli soup mixed with 1/2 can milk. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Add a handful of shredded Canadian Cheese and stir until melted. Stir Meat or Fish and Pasta into sauce. Top each serving with more cheese.
For a meatless variation increase Vegetables to 4 cups (1 L).
Tips
*Uncooked Meat or Fish may be replaced by 2 cups (500 mL) of cooked beef, chicken, pork or canned fish. Add to sauce at the same time as Pasta.
