The U.S. exported $1.06 billion CAD worth of dairy products to Canada in 2025, while importing $391 million worth from Canada. This trade balance is in the advantage of the United States.
Both countries use tariff-rate quotas (TRQ) to trade many dairy products under the terms of the trade agreement between Canada, United States and Mexico (CUSMA).
