Pan Fried Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 2 small onions sliced
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Milk
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- dried or fresh sage to taste or dried or fresh thyme to taste
- A pinch of ground nutmeg

Preparation
Place pork chops in large, cold fry pan over medium high heat. Sauté chops on each side; reduce heat. Add onion slices and 1 tbsp (15 mL) water. Cover and cook over low heat until chops are completely cooked, about 25 min. Remove chops to warm platter.
To 2 tbsp (30 mL) pan drippings, add flour and blend until smooth. Over medium heat, add milk, stirring constantly until gravy thickens and boils. Blend in salt, pepper, herbs and nutmeg. Simmer for 2 min, to blend flavours. Pour over pork chops.
