Peanut Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup (160 mL) sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup (250 mL) all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) Milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) peanuts
  • 2 bananas sliced

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C).

In large bowl, mix together peanut butter and sugar with fork. Beat in eggs.

In separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking powder. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to peanut butter mixture while beating with electric mixer until smooth. Pour into a buttered 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan.

Sprinkle cake with peanuts and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and garnish with banana slices. Serve. If you wish to ice the cake, sprinkle peanuts after icing.
