Preparation
Prepare all your vegetables and place in individual bowls. Small potatoes should be cut in half. Cut carrots into 1 inch chunks. Trim the tips of the green and yellow beans and then cut in half. Shell 1 cup of peas.
Boil the carrots and potatoes together in big pot of water. Bring to boil (about 10 mins) when ALMOST cooked, add yellow beans and green beans (cook about 5 mins), then add peas at the end (cook 1 minute). Drain water from pot.
To make the delicious broth:
Add milk, blend and butter to the pot with the vegetables. Make sure there is enough broth to cover the veggies
Add black pepper to taste.
Heat broth on low-medium heat, until dairy is hot and butter is melted (but do not boil), gently stir and serve.
Tips
The broth consistency is a thin milky chowder, not a thick sauce.
Want to add more broth? Keep the ratio of milk and cream blend (1 cup of milk for 1/2 cup of cream blend). Add butter as desired.
