Preparation

Add the Canadian milk, egg yolks, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to a blender. Blend until everything is well combined.

Pour the mixture into a pot along with the whole cloves. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent curdling.

Remove the cloves and place the mixture in the fridge to cool.

Once cooled, pour the eggnog into a shaker with ice. Shake the mixture well.

Carefully pour the shaken mixture into your favourite cocktail glass and top it with a cinnamon stick.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips

  • Store eggnog in the fridge for up to a week.
  • While simmering, avoid boiling to prevent curdling.
  • For flavoured Canadian eggnog, add 1 tsp (5 ml) of your choice of flavoured syrup into the shaker (peppermint or brown sugar syrup works well!).
