Preparation
In a saucepan of boiling, salted water, cook green beans for about 5 to 6 minutes, until tender-crisp. Drain well and let cool slightly.
Spread a little mustard on each slice of turkey. Place one cheese slice on top of each slice of turkey. Place green bean on top of cheese slice, angled from corner to corner. Roll up, jelly-roll style, to enclose green bean in the centre with turkey on the outside. Skewer closed with a toothpick. Serve cold or warm.
To warm, place 2 wraps at a time on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on High (100 %) power for about 10 seconds or until slightly warmed. Serve immediately.
Tips
Frozen green beans can be used in the place of fresh. Heat in boiling water just until thawed or let thaw at room temperature.
This is the perfect time to used leftover green beans. Cook extra for dinner one night, let cool, wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days to use in these wraps.
In place of the Canadian Swiss cheese, try another Canadian cheese : Havarti, Mozzarella or Cheddar.
