Single Serving Taco Dip

Try our individual taco-style dip, perfect as a quick, cheesy snack! This original, filling recipe goes perfectly with chips, tortillas, crackers or even raw vegetables. Double or triple the recipe for your next party or event!

Single Serving Taco Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (100 g) refried pinto beans
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Mexican chili powder, divided
  • 2 ripe avocados or ½ cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup (110 g) Canadian sour cream
  • 1/2 cup (110 g) Mexican salsa
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • Black olives, without pitts, sliced or roughly chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded Canadian cheddar cheese blend
  • 1 bag tortilla chips

Preparation

Mix the refried pinto bean paste with a teaspoon (5 ml) of chilli powder.

Mash the 2 ripe avocados with the remaining chilli powder, and salt and pepper to make homemade guacamole (or use store-bought guacamole). Set aside.

In a glass or small bowl:

Assemble in layers in this order: refried pinto bean paste, guacamole, sour cream and Mexican salsa.

Add tomatoes, chopped onion, grated cheddar cheese, and olives. Finish with a tortilla chip on top for decoration.
