Sunny-Side Up Omelet

This is the Sunny-Side Up Omelet recipe.

  • 8 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Milk
  • A pinch of Italian seasonings
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 3/4 cup (180 mL) choice of grated Canadian Cheddar cheese

In bowl, whisk together 4 eggs. Stir in milk and season generously with Italian seasonings, salt and pepper. Whisk again. In skillet, melt butter over medium heat, until bubbly. Pour egg mixture into skillet and cook for 2 minutes.

Gently break 4 remaining eggs, one at a time, over omelet, without breaking the yolks. Sprinkle omelet, but not egg yolks, with Canadian Cheddar cheese. Cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until desired firmness.

Cut omelet in 4, with one egg yolk per portion.
