March 9, 2025 (Ottawa) - Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) extends its congratulations to Mark Carney on his election as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. We thank Mr. Carney for joining the leaders of Canada's major political parties in voicing his support for Canada’s dairy farmers and for supply management.
DFC stands with our federal and provincial governments and our fellow citizens during this difficult time for our country. We look forward to working with the new Prime Minister to protect our nation’s food security and sovereignty by ensuring that key foods, including dairy, are made in Canada for Canadians.
