  • June 1st is World Milk Day. Cheers!
  • 75% of Canadians believe the Canadian government should defend our dairy industry in NAFTA renegotiations.

The survey published by IPSOS in May shows that 75% of people believe the dairy industry should be defended and 90% of people agree that products coming in to Canada should meet the same standards as our Canadian dairy products. We have also seen the publishing of a report by Export Action Global, which shows the value of the Canadian dairy supply management system. Canadian dairy farmers are fortunate to operate under the supply management system which enables stability for the farmers and fosters innovation.

Whether you are a dairy farmer or consumer, raising a glass to milk allows for connection and celebration of the goodness of milk. Milk is a nutritious and delicious product containing up to 16 essential nutrients! As a dairy farmer, I am proud of what we produce and as a father, I am proud to serve Canadian dairy products on my own table.

Happy World Milk Day – Cheers!

World Milk Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations with purpose to recognize the importance of milk as a global food.
