Halloumi Tater Tots
A match made in heaven for potato and halloumi lovers! You only need a few ingredients to get a crispy and savoury cheesy appetizer. Perfect as an appetizer or a side dish.

- Cooking: 12 minutes at 400°F (200°C) in an Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 300 g of potatoes (1 to 3, depending on size)
- 1 cup (100 g) Canadian halloumi cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup (30 g) cornstarch
- 1 tsp (5 ml) olive oil
- Hot honey
- Chili oil or chilli flakes (optional)

Preparation
Boil the potatoes, with the skin, for 5 minutes until tender but not mushy.
Drain and peel the potatoes and allow to cool completely. Then grate them with the coarse side of a cheese grater.
In a bowl, combine shredded halloumi, grated potatoes and cornstarch.
Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are well combined.
Roll into 2-in. balls with palms of hands. Transfer to Air Fryer on parchment paper and brush each potato tots with olive oil.
Bake the tots for approx. 12-15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) or until golden brown.
Serve with hot honey or chilli flakes!
