Welcome to the latest edition of DFC’s Quarterly Skim, where we take a glimpse into what's happening in the marketplace and provide insight into what to expect in the upcoming months. Our goal? To help you keep tabs on how the marketplace for dairy products is evolving. 

In this edition for the third quarter of 2024, we look at cheese imports as we approach the end of the calendar year and explore how import levels have changed during the last dairy year (August 1 to July 31) under Canada’s international trade agreements. We also review global dairy commodity prices and analyze dairy sales in the Canadian market at the retail, food service, and further processing levels.
