Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers and Lime Crema Recipe

Here’s an easy air fryer recipe for crispy, spicy jalapeños poppers!

Ingredients

  • 8 large Jalapeño chiles
  • ½ cup (125ml) Canadian cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups (375 ml) Canadian cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Green onion, chopped
  • ½ tsp (3ml) Garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tsp (8ml) Salt
  • ⅛ tsp (1ml) Black pepper
  • ¼ cup (60ml) Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Canadian butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Cilantro, chopped
  • Serve with Lime Crema:
  • ½ cup (125ml) Canadian sour cream
  • 1 Lime

Preparation

Wash jalapeños, and slice in half, lengthwise. Scoop out the inside of the jalapeño halves. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix together the Canadian cream cheese, Canadian cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt and black pepper until fully combined. Spoon the mixture into the peppers distributing evenly.

Mix the panko breadcrumbs and melted Canadian butter until crumbs are evenly coated with butter. Dip the cream cheese part of the pepper into the panko crumbs, coating evenly.

Distribute the peppers in the air fryer and cook at 375°F for 5 to 8 minutes.

Top with chopped cilantro.

Lime Crema

Combine Canadian sour cream, lime zest, and lime juice in a small bowl. Serve jalapeño poppers with lime crema.

Tips

Oven instructions: Prepare peppers according to instructions and then place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in 425°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
