Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each block of puff pastry into a 10 inch (25 cm) square. Brush each sheet with egg and sprinkle with choice of herb and 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Canadian cheese. With a rolling pin lightly press the flavourings into the puff pastry. With a floured knife or pizza wheel cut into strips 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide. Twist each strip and lay on baking sheets.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned, rotating pans halfway. Cool and serve at room temperature.

Tips

Note: If available substitute puff pastry with one - 450 g package of pre- rolled butter puff pastry sheets.
