Cream Sauce

A basic cream sauce that can be used in a variety of recipes, including pastas, and can be spiced up in many ways.

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 1 cup (250 mL) 35 % cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Canadian Parmesan grated

Preparation

Start by sautéing a small onion in butter. When it’s golden brown, ladle in some cream and bring everything to a gentle boil. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes and then remove from heat. Finish with Canadian Parmesan.
