Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 tsp (20 mL) basil or sun-dried tomato pesto
- 4 slices of Canadian Havarti
- 4 large, slices of ham

Preparation
Remove crusts and flatten each bread slice with your hand.
Spread bread slices with pesto and cover with Havarti and then ham.
Turn over so ham is face down. Roll up with ham on the outside. Secure with a pick or skewer.
Roast over embers of a campfire until ham is lightly browned. The roll-ups are ready to serve when melted cheese appears at the ends.
Tips
The slices of ham should be thick enough to hold the cheese in while it’s melting. The roll-ups can also be cooked on the barbecue.
