Turn your day-old croissants into a cheesy delight! Filled with cream cheese, Swiss, cheddar and a drizzle of honey, they're perfect for a gourmet brunch. Double or triple the recipe to please several guests!

Ingredients

  • 1 croissant
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Canadian cream cheese
  • 1 slice Canadian Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) grated Canadian cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tbsp (20 ml) honey

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Open the croissant in half lengthways without cutting off the ends.

Fill with cream cheese, a slice of Swiss cheese, a tablespoon of spring onions, topped with grated Cheddar cheese.

Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cheese begins to crisp up, but without burning the croissant.

Drizzle with honey and a tablespoon of spring onions.

Tip: You can replace the spring onions with chives.
