Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 mL) shredded Canadian Gouda
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped parsley
  • 4 tsp (20 mL) Milk
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) salt
  • 8 oz (250 g) Canadian Cream Cheese with roasted garlic
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped green onions
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups (500 mL) shredded Canadian Cheddar
  • 4 oz (125 g) plain Canadian Cream Cheese cubed
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) minced pickled hot red peppers or half a bell pepper chopped

Preparation

In a food processor bowl fitted with metal blade, combine Gouda, chopped parsley, milk and salt. Process until smooth.

Line a 6-cup (1.5-litre) glass dish or aluminium loaf pan with foil. Spread mixture in dish or pan.

Cream together Cream Cheese with roasted garlic, chopped green onions and black pepper. Spread mixture over Gouda layer.

In clean bowl of food processor, combine Cheddar and plain Cream Cheese and process until smooth. Stir in chopped peppers.

Spread mixture over Cream Cheese layer. Cover and chill for 1 hour or up to 4 days. Serve with crackers.
