Meatloaf Canadiana

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs (750 g) lean ground beef
- 1 pkg (about 50 g) onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) fine dry breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Milk
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) bottled barbecue sauce or chili sauce
- 4 oz (125 g) Canadian Cheddar* cheese thinly sliced

Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
In large bowl, combine beef, soup mix, breadcrumbs, egg and milk. Press into 9 inch (23 cm) pie plate. Bake 40 minutes or until done. Drain.
Spread barbecue sauce over meat; arrange Canadian Cheddar cheese on top. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Cut into wedges and serve.
Tips
* Or you can use thinly sliced Canadian Brick or Colby cheese.
