This is the Mussel Butter Baste recipe.

- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter
- 1 large garlic clove minced
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh parsley
- Few drops of lemon juice
Cream together butter, garlic, parsley, lemon juice and sauce until well combined.
Serve as a dip for mussels and other seafood.
The Mussel Butter Baste can keep up to 1 week in the refrigerator or 1 month in the freezer. Thaw before using.
Chill flavored butters and roll into log; wrap well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Slice to serve and let stand for 1 hour to blend flavors or cut into fanciful shapes with small cookie cutters and serve.
