Ingredients
- Vanilla Sauce
- 1 pkg (4 serving size) vanilla pudding
- 3 cups (750 mL) Milk
- 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla extract

Preparation
Combine pudding mix and milk in medium saucepan. Cook according to package directions. Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract. Place plastic wrap directly on surface of sauce. Cool; chill. Store, covered, in refrigerator up to 1 week.
May be served with fresh fruit.
Variations
:Cafe au Lait Sauce:Add 2 tbsp (30 mL) instant coffee granules with milk. Add sugar to taste; complete as Vanilla Sauce.
May be served with slices of chocolate cake.
Orange Sauce
: Add 1 tbsp (15 mL) orange zest with milk. Reduce vanilla to 1 tsp (5 mL). Complete as Vanilla Sauce.
May be served with strawberries or other fresh fruit.
