Barbecue Cheddar Beef Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb (560 g) lean ground beef
- 1 cup (250 mL) grated Canadian Cheddar*
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) chunky salsa
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) chopped green bell pepper
- 1 pkg (1 oz/35 g) taco seasoning
- 1 egg
- 8 taco shells
- Leaf lettuce
- chopped tomato
- Additional grated Canadian Cheddar*

Preparation
Combine beef, Canadian Cheddar, salsa, green bell pepper, taco seasoning and egg; mix well. Shape meat into 4 patties, 5-inches (12 cm) in diameter.
Place patties directly on preheated grill and cook, with lid open, over medium heat about 5 minutes per side or until cooked as desired. Warm taco shells on the grill. Cut each patty in half and place, cut side down, in lettuce-lined taco shell. Top with tomato and lots of grated Canadian Cheddar.
Tips
*For a change of taste, use Canadian Monterey Jack or Canadian Colby.
