Preparation
Make several 1/4-inch (6 mm) deep cuts diagonally on both sides of each sausage and place directly on preheated grill. Cook, with lid closed, over medium heat until hot, about 7 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally.
Heat beans in small saucepan directly on the grill or small side burner of the barbecue, about 5 minutes; stir occasionally.
Lightly toast hot dog buns on the grill. Sprinkle shredded Canadian Cheddar over the insides of the buns.
To serve, place sausages on cheese-lined buns and top with chili, diced Canadian Cheddar and hot peppers, if using.
Tips
*For a change of taste, use Canadian Monterey Jack or Gouda cheese.
