Ingredients

- Cooked, mixed vegetables
- Cooked, chopped, broccoli and cauliflower
- Cooked peas and carrots
- Meat/Fish
- Cut-up, cooked chicken or turkey
- Cut-up, cooked ham or roast pork
- Cooked salmon whitefish or shrimp
- Canadian Cheese
- Shredded Swiss or Monterey Jack
- Herb & Garlic or Roasted Garlic
- Cream Cheese
- Go-alongs
- Hot buttered toast or English muffins
- Hot baked potatoes
- Hot rice or noodles

Preparation
Melt 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter in large saucepan. Cook 1 chopped onion, 6 to 8 sliced mushrooms and 1 minced garlic clove until tender.
Remove pan from heat and blend in 3 tbsp (45 mL) flour, then 2 cups (500 mL) milk. Cook and stir until mixture boils.
Remove pan from heat and add 2 cups (500 mL) cooked vegetables, 2 cups (500 mL) cooked meat/fish and 2 handfuls of cheese. Stir until cheese melts. Reheat if necessary.
Spoon sauce over Go-alongs and top with more cheese.
