Oriental Meatballs: A Festive Christmas Recipe

Ingredients
- Oriental Meatballs
- 2 lb (1 Kg) ground pork
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) soy sauce
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) beef broth
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) vegetable oil
- Spicy Sauce
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) mango chutney
- 2 tsp (10 mL) tamarind
- Few drops of hot sauce

Preparation
Oriental Meatballs:
In large bowl, mix all ingredients, except sesame seeds, butter and oil. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into small meatballs of preferred size and coat with sesame seeds.
In skillet, sauté meatballs in butter and oil for 5 minutes over high heat. Reduce heat. Cover and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove meatballs from skillet and drain on paper towels. Insert a toothpick in each and serve with Spicy Sauce.
Spicy Sauce:
In bowl, mix chutney, tamarind and hot sauce. Refrigerate.
