Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies (Cooking Club Size)

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups (560 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) baking soda
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter softened
- 8 oz (250 g) Canadian Cream cheese softened
- 1 1/3 cups (330 mL) sugar
- 1 egg
- 10 oz (300 g) miniature chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C).
In medium bowl, stir together flour and baking soda. In large mixer bowl, cream butter and Canadian Cream cheese until light and fluffy; gradually beat in sugar and egg.
Melt 1 cup (250 mL) of the chocolate chips. Stir into batter. Stir in dry ingredients, remaining chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Drop tablespoons (15 mL) of batter, one dozen at a time, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until firm around edges. Remove from baking sheets and let cool on wire racks.
Tips
Check cookies after the minimum baking time given, and frequently afterwards until they are baked as desired.
