Brown Sugar Nuggets

Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 mL) butter
- 2 cups (500 mL) brown sugar packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp (10 mL) lemon juice
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Milk
- 3 3/4 cups (930 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
- 1 tsp (5 mL) salt
- Whole almonds or pecans (optional)

Preparation
Cream butter with sugar; add eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add lemon juice. Blend in milk, then dry ingredients. Chill dough for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly buttered cookie sheets. Top each mound with a whole nut, if desired. Bake 8-10 minutes.
