This recipe is taken from the 1974 Milk Calendar. One way to face the blistering summer heat is the thought of coming back to cold frothy milkshakes. These cool summer drinks start with milk and are as easy as A.B.C. All you need is milk, ice cream and flavorings.

- 1 cup (250 mL) maple walnut ice cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) Milk
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup
- Tin Roof Shake
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate ice cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) Milk
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) chocolate sundae sauce
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) peanut butter
- Spicy Chocolate Shake
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate ice cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) Milk
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) chocolate sundae sauce
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) nutmeg
- Peanut Butter'n'Honey Shake
- 1 cup (250 mL) vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) Milk
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) liquid honey
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) peanut butter
- Rio Drink
- 1 cup (250 mL) coffee ice cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) Milk
- 1/2 banana

Preparation
Spoon ice cream into milkshake maker of blender container. Add remaining ingredients including milk and mix at high speed until smooth and frothy.
Tips
One cup (250 mL) of cold milk to one cup (250 mL) of ice cream is a good guide to follow. The flavoring is up to you. Use as much or as little as you like.
