Preparation
Brew a shot of espresso and let it cool in a separate container. Using hot espresso can dilute the drink when it melts the ice cubes.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the coffee liqueur, vodka, simple syrup, cooled espresso, and heavy cream.
Add ice cubes to the shaker and vigorously shake for 20 seconds until it becomes thoroughly chilled.
Pour the mixture into martini glasses, and if desired, use a mini sifter to sprinkle cinnamon on top of the martini. Finish by garnishing the glass with three coffee beans.
Enjoy your martini!
Tips
- For a bolder coffee flavour, consider using espresso liqueur instead as it imparts a stronger coffee taste.
- Ensure the espresso is not hot when making your martini to avoid dilution. You can quickly cool it down by placing it in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- To achieve a delightful frothy top, shake the cocktail shaker vigorously. Pour the contents into a glass promptly to maintain the frothy espresso martini.
- Wanting an extra frothy beverage? Add an egg white to your cocktail shaker alongside the other listed ingredients. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, and enjoy! Raw Egg Warning: Consuming raw eggs poses a risk for foodborne illness.
