
Watermelon and feta sandwich
This recipe takes only a few minutes to prepare and is incredibly refreshing. Make the most of watermelon season and whip up these sweet-and-savory sandwiches !

Ingredients
- 4 slices watermelon
- 200 g Canadian feta + 1 tbsp (20 g) for garnish
- A few leaves of fresh basil
- 4 thin slices red onion
- A drizzle of balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Decoration
- 1 tbsp (20 g) chopped walnuts

Preparation
Cut a ripe watermelon into 4 square slices (about 1 cm thick).
Cut the feta cheese into 2 slices about 0.5 cm thick. Crumble a piece of feta to garnish.
Place a slice of feta on top of a slice of watermelon. Add a few fresh basil leaves on top of the feta, two thin slices of red onion, then drizzle a little balsamic vinegar over.
Add a dash of salt and pepper to taste and place a second slice of watermelon on top to close the sandwich.
Add crushed walnuts and crumbled feta cheese on top for a crunchy touch!
Enjoy immediately.
