Creamy Guacamole Dip

This recipe is taken from the 1993 Milk Calendar. Delicious as a dip for pita chips, tortillas and vegetable sticks. Or use as a sauce on tacos and fajitas.

Yields 1 2/3 cups (410 mL)
creamy guacamole dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice or lime juice fresly squeezed
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • Dash of hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped fresh coriander or fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Peel and pit avocado. Purée all ingredients in food processor including sour cream until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Tips

1 serving = 1 tbsp (15 mL)
